The world record for the most swords swallowed simultaneously is 29 swords at once, set by Dan Meyer before a live audience at Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium St. Augustine Florida USA on March 28, 2015. BELIEVE IT or NOT! Dan broke the Guinness World Record (25 swords) by swallowing 29 SWORDS at ONCE! Guinness World Records and SSAI Sword Swallowers Association International requirements require swords to be solid steel at least 16 inches long by 1 mm thick. Dan’s swords measured 27 inches long (68 cm) with 20.25 inch (53 cm) blades x 1 mm thick. After setting the world record, Dan was unable to eat solid food for 3 weeks! BELIEVE IT or NOT!
